Dress: Mata Traders | Bracelet: Savannah Chic | Bag: Urban Expressions | Shoes: Big Buddha
Lipstick: Wet n Wild | Nail polish: Ulta | Earrings: Jill Golden

I need to wax lyrical about this dress from Mata Traders! Isn’t it so sweet? It reminds me a lot of that gorgeous Erdem dress Michelle Williams wore to the premiere of Blue Valentine. It has a very similar aesthetic, but I like it even more because it’s practical, and versatile, and on sale… Basically, it’s sitting pretty at the tippy-top of my wishlist. I’ve been wanting to be a bit more of a conscious shopper for a long time, so I thought it would be fun to occasionally share some styling ideas with more ethically-minded pieces from around the web; keep in mind that I’m not an authority on this sort of thing, though. I’m just a girl who wants to feel a little bit better about what she chooses to wear and how she spends her money! Anyway, everything here is compassionately made (fair trade, handmade, or cruelty free) To speak to the versatility of the dress, by the way, I could totally see this look made a touch more casual with a denim jacket or dressed up by switching out the crossbody for a clutch. Can red lace be a new neutral? I’d wear it all the time.

I love the dress and definitely think you should purchase it! You could wear it for holidays, parties and add different belts to change the look up :) The nail polish color is right up my alley too (though I love so many colors, as you probably know, I DO love nudes). That’s a good price for the lipstick! Wet N Wild has these balm stains called Megaslicks and I have heard good reviews on them. They’re similar to all those other chubby sticks that we’ve seen. I know the brand has come a long way so I might have to try something out.

Aw, thanks! Luckily it’s still in stock so I’m still thinking about snatching it up for my birthday. ;) I haven’t heard of the Megaslicks but I’ll definitely have to try it! I find that their lipsticks aren’t as long-lasting as others I’ve worn, but I love the application. The “Light Beige Frost” shade has gotten to be my go-to color for everyday, I love it!

Sweet dress! And I love the purse, lipstick and flats. I have to check out these shops. I like your new layout too – I may like it the best of them all!

Such a gorgeous ensemble — I especially love that bracelet! And red can certainly be a neutral! ;)
