Sometimes you love something so much you just have to share. I’m surprised that I’ve never done a basic, informal series on things I’m enjoying – I did my monthly Favorite Things last year, but the routine felt a bit constricting. Enter, Casee Covets. Is this a cheesy name? Consider this the beta stage as I experiment. Anyway, this is an outlet for the things that make me say, “Oh, I want to blog about that!” but don’t quite hold up for their own individual articles; the wonderful straggling bits that I’m loving at the moment.

There’s so much jewelry on my mind lately! I’m especially fond of pops of color, something I haven’t really ventured into very much out of that age-old practicality bug that dictates all jewelry must go with everythign. Silver or gold, silver or gold. But I’m breaking out of that, I promise. I wouldn’t mind jumping in with that amazing neon necklace from Adia Kibur at Shopbop. I saw Danielle Stevens’ jewelry in a magazine recently (I want to say Real Simple, but I could be wrong) and I loved her designs. Likewise, Spartina 449 has an amazing collection of enamel bangles! Anthropologie’s charming Parisian-themed wallpaper caught my eye on Twitter and I just love it; of course I would! And Rachel Zoe’s nail polish rack (via The Coveteur) is a huge favorite at the moment – so much so that I bought this one after waxing rapturously with Melanie and Nnenna on Twitter (Nnenna even did a post on nail polish racks here!).

(Leftover Cuties singing Regina Spektor’s “Fidelity”.)

Lastly, musically I’ve been enjoying two new discoveries: Leftover Cuties, which will appeal to Zooey Deschanel fans, and the very awesome JD McPherson whose “North Side Gal” is my new favorite of the summer and whose songs have tallied up over 100 plays in my Spotify this last month. If you like getting lost in a bit of Rockabilly sound (or if you’d like to try) you should definitely check him out. He’s even offering his “North Side Gal” single and music video for free download on his website!

(I dare you to not want to get up and dance to this!)

What have you been coveting?

NO, not cheesy. It’s tres chic. I love that necklace (and all the other lovely things.) Today I treated myself to some earings and a matching necklace at Lulu’s. Sometimes a girl needs to splurge. Well the bill was less than 35.00 but for me that’s a splurge. Ha!

I think the name “Casee Covets” works perfectly! It’s fun to discover new things through other bloggers, so I love posts like these :) Thanks so much for the shout-out to my post- we really are obsessed, aren’t we?! ;) Can’t wait to see how the one you ordered works out and hope I’ll be following suit and ordering my own rack soon!

The neon necklace is lovely, and so is the chained bracelet. I’ve been seeing that style a lot lately.
